IIII: How to Put Your New ringtone(s) Onto Your PhoneI: ExplanationThe Reason i am making this guide is so you that can use your already existing songs from your itunes library to make Ringtones instead of paying an additional $1.
There are applications that can do this for you also, but this is how i get my ringtones.
II: Requirementsyou will need a phone that allows .m4r (or .m4a if you are and android user.)
An Itunes library
songs on your itunes library.
III: Making of the RingtoneFirst you will need to choose your song.
keep in mind ringtones cant Exceed 40 seconds long.
After you chose your song right click and choose "get info". then Pick the time frame you want: i wanted my ringtone to start at 3:13 and then i added 30 seconds to it.
Then click "OK"
Now right click on the song again and choose "Create AAC version"
you can see in the picture that the new song fregments time is 30 seconds.
Now go to the original Song and clear the start and finish time to its original before you forget.
Drag the song segment to a folder or your desktop and
change the ending to an "r" (at this time you can also rename it)
(*for android users I was told that you leave it a m4a.)After you do this. delete the old song segment from your iTunes library because this will be replacing it.
(you will find this in your ringtones tab.)
IIII: How to Put Your New Ringtone(s) Onto Your Phone. For iPhone users this will be easy, Sync your iPhone as you would normally.
