I was curious about building a H-Din with the best boss killing speed on switch
I want to maintain 125% FCR (if possible) and stack CB for speed kill.

I was thinking grief on switch.

What type of shield?

I was thinking Guili helm/double up'd goblin toes for the CB

Smite until close to dead, then switch to hammer.


This whole topic is based on the fact that I love d2 but i don't have end time to play anymore. H-din/Smite would be fun to play on /8 and I can use the gear i find to make other fun characters. For me the journey is the most fun and slightly twinking alts keeps the fun and removes the GRIND for some classes. I get more out of playing through a game for items with self imposed limits rather than doing 2000+ LK runs for hrs to make a character exceptional. It's a matter of preference.

usually 1 point smiters use last wish so they only need 1 item change.

problem is you'll need the ias from somewhere and you'll need CBF which most properly geared hammerdins don't bother with.

but to be honest. You'll probably kill boses quicker by focusing on more hammer dmg. 13k+ hammer and 125fcr will own any act boss faster than smite.

This will be single player on /8 players

Can you/anyone think of a gear setup for a single player hdin/bossing killing item setup?

if it's SP, UT isn't accessible, grief, lw, upping unique not possible, unless you mod.

1pt smite 1pt fana (gotta be lvl9+ in the end) LWpb switch and a shield with a 15 ias jewels to reach last bp.
you'll also need cbf, so a cham somewhere or a raven. CBF can't be on switch because if you get frozen when you don't have CBF, and then get CBF, you stay frozen.

Here is a guide I made for this vary purpose. It is for ladder though, so you will have to tweak it.
