what's the best option for a school/work computer?

Was thinking about a chomebook, but I feel it would slow down drastically over awhile with its whim specs. I do want something light, portable, and has great battery life.

Was thinking about stepping it up and getting a Macbook air because of the crazy life span I hear about them, plus the fast ssd and long battery life.

BTW it would have to last me the rest of my highschool and college years, about 6 years. I would only use it for school/work/studying.

Could probably upgrade every 3 years thou..

I don't know how waiting 6 years to upgrade and it depends what you want. I'd either get a Pixel or a MacAir.

I heard the pixel is very limiting with the things it could do. If I was going to spend that much I would probably just get a 13inch 8gb ram macbook air.
Surface 3 will probably be around by the time I buy also, thanks for the suggestion ill check it out.

i have a macbook pro and i enjoy it. long battery life if i dim the screen. only concern is if your classes require windows-specific software to run.
