I keep reminding myself that as long as the Flames don't make a playoff spot there's always a chance in the lottery to get that first pick
I can't even begin to explain my frustration with this. The team is in a rebuild and there is possibly five teams that will place below them. All I want is to land McDavid. He would be the last key for the Flames to actually begin building a team to compete with Ana/LA/Sanjose. Obviously this would be a few years down the road, but with him and our current roster we would make the the Oilers and Panthers look more pathetic than they are already. And in future years, we wouldn't look so pathetic to the Cali teams.

49 saves, 30 blocked shots.
I also believe that a good tendy is key for rebuild, I'm happy the Flames landed him, but I wish they would have waited a few years down the road (this also means they probably would have ended up with a diff tendy). Don't get me wrong, Treviling had to do something when he was hired to gain the confidence of the fans, so this was a good signing on his part and for the organization overall. I just wish it would have been down the road.
