It felt more like she was spouting bullshit because Rentaro basically rejected her for getting revenge. Imo he was a dumbass. What she did wasn't right but that doesn't mean reject her.

I thought the whole scene was just weird. She is normally very collected and even the revenge was fine, but the whole excited schoolgirl act was way out of character. I feel like that is more why he rejected her than anything. Just killing would have been alright but then she was expecting praise and reward for doing so.

I didn't find this series to be sad really, it had some touching moments, but most of them were overshadowed by what happens right after.

I understand that it's trying to depict a cruel society being overrun by a menace and that those who fight that menace don't get the luxury of time to grieve, but Overall it felt more like it was rushed rather than symbolical.

I hate that they pussied out from killing enju with the season finale. The outro** was an obvious foreshadow that it was coming and most of the season had some subtle hints that she'd eventually have to die.
