where do we draw the line from something being human/conscious enough and something being not human/conscious enough?
and if fetuses, in their early stages, are to be given rights - then why shouldn't many primates and other animals have human or somewhat-human rights as well? ;)

The source of the semen has no bearing on whether or not that little thing cooking in the womb is a person or not.

If it is a person at conception, then killing it is murder rape or no rape.  Don't be a hypocrite.

sounds like the person in the women is more considerate as a person that the women himself if i understand well

the exact moment when the semen become a person is highly debatable

a women can be forced to abort even if it is against the law, just the same way a women can abort if against the law

my point was that it is all about women's rights

All other sentient animals deserve the same rights that humans have to well-being. Anything else is speciesism and in time will go the way of racism.

What about carnivores infringing on the rights of herbivores?

I hear this a lot and I'm kind of tired of it.  I don't think pro-life voters want to oppress women, they just don't want abortions happening.  It just so happens that only women get pregnant.  That's like Viagra is sexist because only men take it.

Yeah, and pro-choice voters don't want to murder babies, they just want women to have the right to do with their bodies as they please. Doesn't stop people from saying abortion is about murdering babies, does it now?

how come is it that i do get the feeling that this has to do with some of my earlier comments on this subforum

namely, me stating the fact that human "races" aren't a taxonomically viable concept (especially in anthropology)
and that ski'ing and basketball aren't that much about genes at all

have you started pretending that your arbitrary definitions of humans as distinctive "races" are based on... are now different species altogether?

This is a baby.  A very cool, fun loving baby.

Of course the first picture is not a baby, but it is a human. The only difference in your pictures is age.

that should be as obvious as pro-choice voters don't want abortions happening, they just don't wants women's to be oppressed

abortion is very bad for the women, none of women's right defenders like to see a women get aborted
