Nationalism has fooled these people (Well, they have fooled themselves, but it can be understood how that came about.) into believing what they are doing is just and necessary for protection, but undoubtedly it is not necessary and it is definitely not just, and their ignorance is what allows the war machine to keep turning. With that, I'd say people should definitely scrutinize the ignorance that consumes them, and the blindfold of nationalism that blinds them, and we shouldn't praise what they are doing, nor pretend they are fighting for any thing other than the financial interest of ruling politicians and their power. But - So long as this shit continues, they need to be treated right by the government that employs them. Maybe this is just a necessary step for people to open their eyes to the reality that our rulers honestly don't give a shit about a single one of us, not even those who allow their abuse to continue. They joined a terrible organization, and they know the consequences, they have themselves to blame. You'd think the government would actually take care of the people who serve it's greedy interest, though.
I hope the NSA puts you in Guantanamo, then I might support keeping it around
