That's very true, you absolutely do not have the inclination to understand presented content. Though that in itself suggests that no, in reality, you do not have the capacity.

You can give yourself whichever excuse you're comfortable with: you simply can't back up your claims substantively. You were better off simply ignoring the discussion entirely rather than embarrassing yourself by attempting to discuss a topic you're uninformed on.
