I've been using Mozilla products since Netscape Navigator and Communicator.  I really don't care what an employee at a firm says tbh, although it would be fun to just yell at a random employee somewhere over what their CEO did for the pure irrationality of it.  I read the story a few days ago and decided that I'm using their product for surfing the internet and not for moral reasoning so it doesn't really apply much to me.  I would like if shockwave would stop freezing up my browser, especially when I'm doing the Spanish and mouse over specific ad on the translation website that I use for the staggering amount of conjugations on every verb.

I remember Netscape Navigator. I didn't know that was a Mozilla product.

I've been using firefox for a long time. I'm hopeful this issue won't cause any long-term damage with their endeavors.

Maybe they'll ban all the gay porn sites?

Half the team quit because someone donated a tiny sum of money to a proposition 6 years ago?

Talk about an overreaction.

Apparently they quit because they wanted someone external to take over, not someone inside, not really sure if that is true but that is the official reason.

Firefox was good, but I use Waterfox now.

unless Firefox starts discriminating against the LBGT community with their software this is just people, being offended by something from 5-6 years ago, who don't realize being offended is part of life.

personally i would have made two donations; one for and one against the proposition to please everyone

I can't stand these boycotting types. Yea, they have every right to do it and what not, but it's one of the most intollerant things I can think of. Bill Maher hits the nail on the head here:

People need to quit being such whiny little bitches. So what if the Girl Scouts support transgender folks? They have really fucking good cookies. Chick-fila? Great chicken and lemonade. If we boycotted every organization that disagreed with us, we'd fucking starve to death and be naked.

Apparently having an opinion and supporting values different from what liberals term as “normal” is akin to heresy, as if his beliefs showing some minor financial support for legislation supporting family values in anyway inhibits his abilities or implies any hatred towards the mentally ill.

I am showing my support, got Firefox running now, and will be uninstalling all my other browsers for as long as he is CEO.

People, especially “liberals” seems to forget that free expression of ideas and beliefs is what this country was founded on.

the left has always been the aggressors when it comes to the culture war. they've been on the right side and also the wrong side but they're always the aggressors and they brag about it. they say they're the forces of progress and they want to extend their vision everywhere. if you resist that in anyway there can be pretty harsh consequences. most prevalent, name calling to shut people up.
