exactly.  we managed to make internment camps without even forcing them to stay there.

There is nothing wrong with it if its 100% voluntary
Its not terrible from a native american POV. Only from a misguided white guilt POV.

They're mistreated even to this day. If you get a chance, watch "Indians Like Us" which ran on PBS a few months ago. Even though the subject matter of the documentary was something else, there was some shocking abuse documented there.

In many ways reservations are not completely voluntary. You grow up on a reservation it is very difficult to leave. Your education pales in comparison to those on the outside (limiting job prospects) and you simply don't have the money to leave. The poor state of the vast majority of reservations has encouraged more than 50% of natives to live off their reservation.

They're completely compatible. People on reservations do not leave because they don't have the education or finances to do so. People who live off reservations are the descendants of people who have attempted to do so (And most remain in stiff poverty) and natives whom their tribes have no reservation. The population of natives off the reservation aren't people who have recently left.

And you might want to learn to interpret obvious intentions more accurately before you respond..

You could say this about people from any country.
