Wouldn't it hurt the american energy producers if they have about 25% less nuclear fuel?
Some of those companies use 100% russian fuel.

Could you give a example of americans executive orders?

No one said that his first executive order specifically would hurt, so stop embarrassing yourself and bump up that reading comprehension. I only said, accurately, that our executive orders, unlike Russia's, will hurt. If Obama decides to turn up the heat then there will be consequences for the Russian economy whereas they are unable to cause 1/1000th of that damage. He doesn't need to deliberately go for the jugular either, fantasy land.

No one? You mean I would be remiss to quote you in post number 15 stating exctly what you are now denying? Backpedal more plz.

American energy producers would primarily hurt when it comes to their overseas operations (e.g. Exxon investments in Russia).

America and Russia are tring to be friends.
This is just a song and dance in order to hook idiots who think it matters.
Nothing is going to happen.
Kindas like when i pretend to be mad at my gf for moving my remote but really im glad she cleaned up the livingroom.

Obama and Putin are probably still planning a buddy weekend in Vegas - I mean please.

A new wave of separatism begins.

"In the Tatars historic capital of Bakhchisaray, the assembly representing the 300,000-strong indigenous Muslim minority voted in favour of seeking "ethnic and territorial autonomy" in Crimea. They make up less than 15% of Crimea's population of 2 million and have been overwhelmingly opposed to Russia's annexation of the territory."

Except, no. The direct quote is as follows:

Their sanctions are fucking worthless. Ours, on the other hand, will hurt.

Clearly there is no mention of the first slate of executive orders signed specifically. I could understand if you assumed that the remark and analysis was confined to strictly the first slate of orders and directives but there's nothing in the post that suggests such a narrow focus for the commentary. It's a broad assessment, particularly necessary for an elongated process where many developments will cause Obama to come back to the desk to sign his name again as each directive becomes larger and larger.

Sure, they could cause a hassle for some of our MNCs. But in terms of the level of severity that hypothetical action could take on, the Russians aren't able to hurt us as much as we could hurt them. Whether or not who will hurt who and how much and when is all up in the air, maybe nothing happens. But people shouldn't kid themselves into thinking that there's no option here for punishing Russia or that the only clubs in our bag are for slapping wrists. The option for pain is there, that in itself has resolved a lot of international incidents.
