so I saw this band described as "elegant pop psych early prog"

he's so good yet I can't get into it. I mean for me he's like the definition of modern crossover/melodic prog, it just happens to be too melodic for me I think. Maybe his voice just doesn't sound proggy enough for me idk. I think if he played heavier stuff I'd actually like it more.

if I'm in the mood for more heavy I like Amogh Symphony or Animals as Leaders or random "djent" bands. occasionally sludge

oh i was thinking about something else when u mentioned "heavier" , i listened to alot of thrash/melodic death metal before i got more into prog , but i guess it makes sense
