V. THE IN-GAME CURRENCY SYSTEM EXPLAINED

One thing that really set's PoE apart is its in-game currency system. Instead of the normal gold and money system, PoE uses a multi-purpose system
of orbs & scrolls (mostly orbs) to purchase & upgrade things, and as a form of trading power. Here is a list of all the orbs and a brief
description of there use:

- Scroll of Wisdom = Used to identify items. Also used to buy things from vendors
~
- Portal Scroll = Used to portal to town from anywhere you can. Also used to buy things from vendors
~
- Orb of Transmutation = Upgrade a normal item to a magic item
~
- Orb of Augmentation = Enchants a magic item with a new random property
~
- Orb of Alteration = Reforges magic item with new random properties
~
- Armourer's scrap = Improve the quality of armour pieces
~
- Blacksmiths Whetstone = Improve the quality of weapons
~
- Blessed Orb = Randomizes the value of the implicit properties of an item
~
- Cartographer's Chisel = Improves the quality of a map
~
- Chaos Orb = Reforges a rare item with new random properties
~
- Chromatic Orb = Re-colors the sockets on an item
~
- Divine Orb = randomizes the value of the random properties of an item
~
- Eternal Orb = Creates an imprint of an item for later restoration
~
- Exalted Orb = Enchants a rare item with a new random property
~
- Gem Cutter's Prism = Improves the quality of a gem

~
- Orb of Fusing = Reforges the number of links between sockets on an item
~
- Orb of Regret = Grants a passive skill refund point
~
- Orb of Scouring = Removes ALL properties from an item
~
- Regal Orb = Upgrades a magic item to a rare item
~
- Vaal Orb = Corrupts a gem/Item, Causing unpredictable results

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

VI. GEMS EXPLAINED

Gems are the games skill system. There are 5 types of gems:

1. Skill Gem - your basic attack gems
2. Support Gem - These gems support the other 4 gem types, they only work when linked in an item w/ one of the other 4 gems types.
3. Totem Gem - These create a totem of the type explained in the gem
4. Aura Gem - These gems are used to give you and your party a buff
5. Curse Gem - These are used to weaken and de-buff your enemies
6. Vaal Gem - These are buffed up versions of regular PoE gems.

Gems usually come based on one of the attributes in the game:

BLUE = Int based gem
RED = Str based gem
GREEN = Dex based gem

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

VII. FLASKS

The two main flasks in the game are Life and Mana. They come in many sizes, from the starting size of "small", to the
largest size of "sanctified". Hybrid flasks restore both Life and Mana but only go up to the "hallowed" size.

~ UTILITY FLASKS ~

Quicksilver Flask - 40% increased movement speed
Ruby Flask - 10% to max fire resist + 50% to fire resist
Sapphire Flask - 10% to max cold resist + 50% to cold resist
Topaz Flask - 10% to max lightning resist + 50% to lightning resist
Amethyst Flask - 35% Chaos resist
Granite Flask - +3000 armor
Diamond Flask - Your crit strike chance is lucky
Jade Flask - +3000 to evasion rating
Quartz Flask - Your movement is not blocked by enemies

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

VIII. GEAR SOCKETS AND LINKS

So, as a new player you are probably wondering where these gems go, whats up with the holes in my gear, and whats with
the colors and links between them. First off, not all equipment has sockets. the following is a list of the equipment that
can have sockets and how many they can have max:

~ Two-Handed weapons - 6 sockets max
~ One-Handed weapons - 3 sockets max
~ Shields - 3 sockets max
~ Boots/Gloves/Helms - 4 sockets max
~ Body Armor - 6 sockets max

The colors on the sockets represent the color of the gem that can be put in them.
The links between them show you that you can put a support gem (or more than one) next to a skill to have it supported.

_____________________________________________________________________________________________

IV. THE SKILL TREE

One of the coolest things by far in the game is the massive skill tree. The skill tree provides an almost infinite
number of possible ways to build your character! Each character has a different starting point, usually based around there basic play style
and there basic attributes. Here is what the skill tree looks like:

Moreover: every information can be obtained somewhere, he just puts them all togather in a short overview

maybe the references are missing, but still its nice and should get a sticky
