Can't we all accept that DotA 2 and league both have their places? League is a more casual and friendly moba made to introduce those to the game-type and for them to play with their friends. It's community, although still toxic, is friendly and more accepting than DotA's. The concepts are easier to grasp and the heros have lower skillcaps so people can learn to play, there is a reason most pro league players played DotA at some point. DotA 2 is more advanced as has a higher skillcap. The heros are less forgiving and the community is absolute trash, with so many "Mid or feed" players that it's not even funny to witness. It's made for those seeking more of a challenge and looking to try to get into some higher level playing techniques.
They're both made for different audiences, one is not better than the other because they have to exist in unison, if one didn't exist, another would fill the void.
