Great goal, terrible news :(

Rest In Peace.

To me it seems like it's usually african players who collapse or something like that, what's the reason behind it :S

they all seem to be black cdm's...Tiote, Muamba, Vivien Foe

however it's probably just a coincidence and they all had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy

sometimes i feel like players should be checked more often for this kind of stuff
so depressing that such a young guy just collapses and dies :(

it must be extremely hard to detect (at a guess?)
I mean he's not long left Newcastle, he would have had a medical when signing for his Chinese club..

It's almost impossible to detect, thats the thing.
They get checked all the time, but a cardiac arrest can come out of nowhere apperantly.

Rip Tioté, remember you from your RSCA days :(

Sometimes the players know, but still want to take the risk and pressure the clubs to let them play.

At least I know there have been cases of this among cyclists; I assume it happens in every sport.

I do get that a bit, they are probably given a percentage that it could happen, if you have lived all your life doing one thing and try to excel at it, i get that you don't quit that easilly.

Any La-Liga fans know anything about Lejeune?

Good player. He has good heading, got height at about 6'5. He likes to go for the long balls rather than the short. He has great movement, leadership, and decisions. Should fit into Newcastle really good

He has been great this season, although pretty much everyone in Eibar has been solid this season. He was also pretty good in Segunda for Girona though, so it doesn't look like it's just the team's momentum carrying him.
