I've played several races, it depends on the game, but my favorite aspects are these, (and things most people don't know about),
Morrowind
- best race, imo, Nord. 100% frost immunity. 50% shock.
Second fastest race in game (second highest weight)
- orc. Fastest race with 100 speed, they are the heaviest class, which has a big effect on movement speed. My lvl 1 orc was muuuuch faster than my high elf at lvl 1, I'm currently using an orc mage class, it's great.
- high elf. Huge magicka bonus. Combine that with apprentice, gg. The -mana resistances mean nothing as there's only absorb health or damage stat spells that deal magic damage. However, they're slow.
Redguard if you like racial powers, I dont typically.
- oblivion, I can't comment much. I picked high elf for the speed (calculated by height in oblivion). I can't comment much here.
-skyrim.
Imperial is my fav. Their charm power is 99 pts. It's incredibly useful, most underrated class in here. Can backstab everything.
High Elf, fastest due to height, racial power is pretty good.
Argonian, histskin is underrated. Much more tanky. Possibly be my second choice on skyrim for kicks, or high elf.
Orc, probably the best. Berserker rage is so gfg. Good for aNY class. Double damage sneak attacks, double Melee damage. Hell, even if you're a mage, the fact you take half damage is still useful.
Sorry, I'm nerdy and play them on the highest difficulty and usually try to optimize my characters but not make them too OP through exploits lol.
My ultimate favorite? Hard choice.
Morrowind Orc, Skyrim Imperial.
Morrowind Nord is insanely good (plus has the option to have the highest possible attainable health along with male redguard).
It's Morrowind Orc currently though.
Ugly character model that everyone hates. Woohoo
Edit - just found out how much weight effects movement speed, it's 1% per weight.
So my male orc had 1.35 weight, compared to my high elf which had 1.0 weight, so if all stats are equal, I move 35% faster. Compared to a bosmer at 0.9, I move 45% faster. That's insane.
