I did the screen swap already and the 120hz works fine out of the box, colors and viewing angles are great, but since the panel isn't whitelisted in Dell's BIOS, you won't be able to use the Windows settings to adjust the screen's brightness.

I'm gonna keep an eye out for possible April Fools deals and may consider returning if I see any other good laptop choices with high refresh rate or less restrictive BIOS.
