? They literally were the first brewery to use dry hopping technique, and they have it down pact. I love Dales and Sculpin is delicious, but I could sit there and drink on 60 min all day.. Perfect abv, perfect ibu's.. Just a great beer.

And I'm from the area, so I remember before the huge brewery opened.

It's down pat

Sculpin is okay

heady topper is over rated

also, im so beyond over ipa's

altho, this new wave of unfiltered/ juicy ipa's where they arnt just ibu bombs is more my speed

one of my local spots had a tap take over by modern times, these guys make such good beer, and they do it across many different styles.

FRUITLANDS-GOSE
A sour gose that's tart, fruity, complex, and delicious. The sour, salty base beer brings the funky refreshment, while the heavy dose of sour
cherries turns the whole thing into a fruity, tasty cherry bomb. An intricate mix of flavors that works remarkably well.

Devil's Teeth - Bourbon Barrel Aged W/ Almond, Vanilla & Cocoa Nibs
We took the Bourbon Barrel-Aged Devil's' Teeth and added almonds, vanilla, & cocoa nibs to the mix, resulting in a ludicrously flavorful beer
featuring a melange of dessert-like flavors. Took a lot of tinkering to get this combination right, but it turned out extremely well in the end.

Holy shit, no one has drank beer since may?!

Any way, me and a couple friends went to some of the local watering holes around here a few weekends ago.

Alvarado Streets Falkor's Fruit Kettle Sour (with Dragonfruit and Passionfruit)

I legit have never had a beer by them that I didnt like. And right now they are KILLING the IPA game for central california breweries, and im not huge on ipas.

Corralitos Brewing Company

A local small town place good beer, great people and they are getting bigger which is awesome.

This is a collaboration with Device Brewing called Inconceivable. Westcoast IPA with Magnum, Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, El Dorado and Equinox hops, it was good, super juicy not overly bitter i would drink it regularly.

Sante Adairius Rustic Ales

These guys have been stepping it up, and for a small in size and brewing capacity (7 barrel system) they bang out a lot of beer and most important... really good beer.

This is Quality Of Life, it's an Oak-aged Dubbel with cherries. A lot of times when beer is barrel aged they will over do it with the fruit. Not the case here, great cherry flavor without being out of control, the beer still shines through, and the back end is lifted up by the oak.

I would like to broaden my horizons regarding the aptitude to taste and distinguish between different beers.
I currently enjoy dark beer. Modelo Negra, Guinness, Stouts and other dark beers are something I prefer and enjoy drinking. Oddly surprising considering I never had quite grown accustom to the taste except til more recently.
