do people still play diablo 2? I heard its going to be 'remastered' into a new game?

nothing official at this point, but blizz is hiring people with the express intent of remastering their classic games. SC1 is actually announced and near release i believe but they have not officially said anything about d2 and WC3.
they also have been cracking down on some of the bots and dupe methods since the latest reset which would imply maybe they are trying to clean it up for a remaster release, although it seems the d2 hacking community is pretty much non-existent so no one updates programs for the new patches and so people were using a "version hack" to use old hacks and that is what they have been detecting and banning; not sure if the code of the hacks was actually adjusted for the updates if blizz would be able to detect them.

also i started playing d3 a few days ago with some friends
i walked the whole game and then my laptop sort of blew up because it couldnt handle it so well
so i bought a new one online with a nice graphic card and what not
but now im bored with it anyway
