I get the traditional Normal/Nightmare/Inferno difficulties and how to progress. But now there are more difficulties for each...difficulty? I'm currently playing on Hard/Normal. I know normal is supposed to be a breeze but I'm already meeting some good resistance just starting to play. Is the hard difficulty actually hard? Is there any benefit of playing on Hard mode instead of the lower ones, besides a little more exp?

Easy - Normal - Hard = Same XP - Same MF
Mp1 up to mp5 scale in XP and MF

This was confirmed by blizzard official, so no there is no benefit between hard and normal

Ok I just researched and figured out stuff. I'm reading that easy/normal/hard is the console's way of changing MP? So hard would be like MP4, so it would increase MF n stuff

Din't you read my post?

There is 8 difficulties
Easy - NO XP bonus - NO MF
Normal - NO XP bonus - NO MF
Hard - NO XP bonus - NO MF
MP1 - 120% XP bonus - 60 MF + More mob density
MP2 - Scale 20% - 10%
MP3 - Scale 20% - 10%
MP4 - Scale 20% - 10%
MP5 - 200% XP bonus - 100 MF

SO wheater you do Easy-hard there is no difference.

Difference come at MP1
