Here is the official Madden 25 Ultimate Team thread! (MUT25)

Some helpful links:
MUT13 thread: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=64408882&f=204
MUT13 thread 2: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=64956810&f=204

If anyone needs anything in MUT13 let me know, I finished with ~3mil coins, there's still stuff I want, but I can help also.

e: Had to remove some helpful links because it was auto-24hr suspension for some reason for posting it, I guess jsp and EA don't get along. (I realized this after I tried making the thread 3 days in a row)

Any tips? First year doing this, about 10 games in. Just finishing up the Arizona Cards regular season.

1-0 vs players for the season.

This ultimate team reminds me of 2011's version, which imo was very difficult.
I recommend doing as much of the solo challeges to build coins.
I only purchase Pro packs (or higher, but nothing out yet) with hopes of pulling an expensive card.
The auction is where you truly make your money though.
^Either through buying low and selling high (which takes time to learn the market) or by selling the cards you get from packs, this is the way to make money.
^^Remember, EVERYTHING sells... just search it on auctions to find a base price, and sell it if you don't need it.
If you need to boost your team, play the auction rather then buying packs.
^You can find some of the silver rookie top 100 cards for anywhere from 500-1000 per, which means you can get ~10 starters instead of maybe 1-2 from a Pro pack (but you lose the chance of pulling a card worth a good bit)
Collections are another thing to do (the collection rewards are very paltry right now, but as the year progresses, the rewards for collections will be better.
^As opposed to discarding a player card for coins, send it to collection and collect it (you get the same value as discarding, but you work towards a reward). I say this as if the players were in collections already (most aren't).

TL;DR- Play solo challenges, get acquainted with the auction system, and don't discard cards.

e: i never got into mut before because i thought it was so far behind the fifa version - but now they've caught up so it should be really fun.

The market is very flooded right now because you have people from all over the world playing the game in excess right now.
But, it really depends on what your needs are.
If you NEED coins to get contracts for your team in order to keep it stable, then sell them.
If you don't NEED coins and the player card suits you well (play with it, if the player does worse than your backups, sell it.. if he's all over the field, don't)
I only have one elite card right now (Tony Gonzalez, 90) and homer aside, I'm going to keep it because of the playmaking ability I have already seen with him.
Now if his price goes up, and I can get a card I prefer more, let's say there's an Elite QB or HB I want, I would most likely sell and replace.

example:
I've sold all my top 100 rookies because I had players 1-2 ranks lower that played just fine and the top 100's I sold were going for 2000-4000 coins.
I replaced positions I needed (grabbed a top 100 RG3 and a Reggie Bush card) and I found this replacement to be well for my play style.

Right on! I got the cardinals helmet (Do these expire?) and 12th man card.

Do I put them in collection, reserves or actives?

I've got from packs and stuff I think, not including the starting one.
76 - Cameron Wake (Twice) - Top 100 Rookie Star
80 - RGIII Yellow
75 - Kory Lichtensteiger - Yellow
78 - Suh Purple
79 - Reggie Bush Yellow
81 - Tramon Williams Yellow

Just opened another pack
84 - Andrew Whitworth
73 - Tony Scheffler
80 - Mike Tomlin
65 - D. Moch
Det Def
Contract 32
76 Dashon Goldson - Rookie Top 100
Oak Home Jers
Saints Stadium

What do I do with people that are like 60-65 overall?

well i really want to upgrade my qb - signed on today and somehow had a rg3 card there (wtf? do they just give you a new card every day or something?), so i'm replacing jay cutler with rg3. but i really want either scam newton or rodgers.

also kind of disappointed by the cards you get for completing the skill trainers - i have better players than the ones they give.. and i don't think you can auction them so they're basically worthless to me. -_-

The Cardinals helmet will most likely ONLY be used for the cardinals head coach upgrade. Go ahead and drop that one in collection.
The 12 man card I believe is an elite collectible (MUT12 and 13 didnt have collectible pieces). I would send it to pending collection, but not use it until you either A. Have all the items to collect for a certain reward THAT YOU WANT or B. Sell it on auction.
The RG3 (80 yellow, is that the top 100 card [which is 80 overall] or the gold version [83 overall]), regardless.. that card sells. I prefer to keep RG3 due to his playstyle, but if you don't need it, then that's a good card to sell.
The Tramon would probably sell very nicely, as I only have 1 CB better than that card.. but Idk the auction, and he's a good card to keep to help build a team.
The Reggie Bush is an outstanding card. I tear teams apart with Bush, either receiving, running, or options.. I'm 4-1 in seasons (lost my first game in OT, won next 4) and Bush has been the sole reason. I luckily pulled 2, so 1 was expendable, and I sold for nearly 4000 coins at the time.
^I wouldn't recommend selling Bush unless you get a gold/elite replacement in the scheme that you run. (I run speed backs, so I'm looking for Spiller, Charles, etc.)
60-65 overalls, just send them to reserves for now, eventually they will release position collections, if your reserves are nearly 1000, just sell them I'd say.

Maybe you won an auction? I'm not sure, I haven't logged on today, but I bought a top 100 rg3 yesterday so that would kinda suck lol
Yeah, the skill trainer cards are bad for the most part, but they can't be super good or everyone would have them.
I discarded most of them, kept a few that I wanted, but they will probably just take up reserve space.
