Ive talked to many mods/admin etc. Its some bullshit if you ask me. How can you ask us to pay for name changes when some of the "good" site names aint been used in years. Its ok for us to spend fg on petty names while others just rot away forever?

Plenty names Ive wanted have been taken and also havent been used in 3+ years..some even longer. Examples: Maserati Retron just random decent names...


But we cant use these on the chance a dude who been gone for 4 years comes back at random. I think it should be if ya snooze, get a new name..but fg for ASDSDSFAFAF or a55face...redonk son redonk

This has been suggested numerous times in the past and rejected every single time due to the chance that the users might come back on at some point.

Code
You can change your forum account name for a Forum Gold fee.

Limits:
•The name you choose must be between 3 and 32 characters.
•The name you choose cannot contain any special characters, ONLY letters and numbers.
•The name you choose must not already be taken. Old user accounts will NOT be deleted under any circumstances. <--------------------------------------------
Prices:
•250fg for a upper/lower case change of any of the letters in your name. No addition or removal of any letters.
•500fg for a minor name change. Ie, removing a couple letters (such as a clan tag). **Note, if you add any letters, this is considered a full name change.
•1500fg for a complete name change. Ie, changing your name to something completely different from what it is today.
Notes on name changes:

The only thing that changes on your account is the name. Your user id, post count, join date, gold, etc will all remain exactly the same.

When your name is changed, an email will be sent to your registered email address, and your login name will change to the new name. If you are already logged in, you will not need to log back in to see the changes, it will take effect immediately.

I know this, and is pretty stupid. If anything 2 years inactive delete the damn account. If they aint on for 2 years then they busy with real life..when they come back let them get a shit name..simple

Why should they lose out because of a spell of inactivity?
If you want a name that is already taken, pm them and when they do get back maybe if you pay for it they will change their name so you can take theirs.

Due to college i was away from JSP for about 2 almost 3 years and now i'm back and active as before.

If i came back and had someone took my JSP username, you can bet I wouldn't be happy about it :(

There's a slight chance they'll come back, even if they don't, Paul still won't delete account names.

Ok...so how about names that havent been active in lets say 6 years. With no post. Ill pm him but im not getting any younger and that name aint getting any use. There has to be a point of deletion. Every site does it and it works.

Yea but you would just simply find a new name. Being away at college is what it is, but im sure you couldve logged in at one point in time. People sign in from work/school/driving wherever. 3 years is pretty long to take a sec to renew a account that you use daily..even if its just to keep it from being deleted. Idk I guess it is what it is just dumb.

yea thats what it does come down to in the end period I guess. If you bring something up enough, it could change.
