LOL

Trump's early push was exactly because CNN would just run his campaign rallies for 20 minutes at a time during dull news days.

He drew ratings, so they ran him. He only drew ratings because what he said was so inflammatory.

That relationship doesn't end once you're president. They run him constantly because he keeps saying stupid shit that, once again, gets ratings.

I really don't get why people think the mainstream media is biased against Trump.

Trump acts like an idiot, and they cover it to get ratings.

Them negatively covering Trump is the only reason why he made it to the presidency in the first place. The profit motive kept him in the headlines, without that Trump would have been dismissed and never seen the light of the debates.

>negative press coverage is more profitable (objective fact)

You literally have to be missing half of your brain to make that conclusion

Really? Because during the campaign it was agreed on by pretty much everybody, Trump supporter or not, that Trump's momentum was due to his "free media coverage".

Youre changing your argument because your original one was so shitty and indefensible

My point being that the "bias" isn't against Trump, it's for profitable headlines.

that a distinction so thin it makes a pubic hair look like a steel cable.

and to be honest i think it's incorrect, they have a bias against trump for profits. their main motivation may be profits, for all we know they all secretly love the guy but love money more, making it their ONLY motivation. but the bias remains there, regardless of motivation.

if a man who was beaten by a pack of black men, and a man who was raised to hate black people but has never met one, both hate black people. do they not both have a bias against black people, regardless of their drastically different motivations?

The picture is less about how the MSM is indeed biased. & more about how the collective left would [seemingly] rather see Trump fail, even if it’s detrimental to the country, than see him, & the country along with him, succeed.

I don't really see it as a thin distinction, but more as a higher level abstraction. It's more or less the same as saying Fox doesn't have a pro-Trump bias, they have a bias in favor of pretty much any Republican candidate.

Yes, it manifests currently as being against Trump, but the core of the issue isn't Trump, so much as the for-profit motive of both Fox and the other mainstream media outlets.

I shouldn't have said "I really don't get it" though, because I do get it, but it's part of a larger trend with more explanatory power than just "Media hates Trump".
