and to be honest i think it's incorrect, they have a bias against trump for profits. their main motivation may be profits, for all we know they all secretly love the guy but love money more, making it their ONLY motivation. but the bias remains there, regardless of motivation.
if a man who was beaten by a pack of black men, and a man who was raised to hate black people but has never met one, both hate black people. do they not both have a bias against black people, regardless of their drastically different motivations?
I don't really see it as a thin distinction, but more as a higher level abstraction. It's more or less the same as saying Fox doesn't have a pro-Trump bias, they have a bias in favor of pretty much any Republican candidate.
Yes, it manifests currently as being against Trump, but the core of the issue isn't Trump, so much as the for-profit motive of both Fox and the other mainstream media outlets.
I shouldn't have said "I really don't get it" though, because I do get it, but it's part of a larger trend with more explanatory power than just "Media hates Trump".
