Just curious what you guys think. I don't think I'll bother buying HotS for a while. I don't play much anymore, and WoL is a perfectly fine game.

I could see stubborn mid masters players (such as myself) staying in WoL after HotS just to hit GM.

What I'm saying is that with original StarCraft, not many people were in agreement that it was a balanced game. When Brood War came out, anyone who wanted to play competitively had to switch over for balance. But Wings of Liberty isn't like that. It's a pretty solid, well balanced game. Heart of the Swarm will change things up, but, at first and for a while after, Heart of the Swarm is most likely going to be less balanced than Wings of Liberty.

I'm enjoying the lack of balance, it's feels fresh. No 100% bo wins atm, except proxy factory thats a bo win vs everything.
It feels like playing WoL Season 1- But with macro maps.

Like rick said, there will be some stubborn wol'ers that will try their hardest to get GM and then move on.
I'd say 94% of the active starcraft2 players will switch to hots right away, remaining 6% being like Rick and trying to get that GM logo to their account.
