Everything in germany has to be TÜV Certified (Tested by state engineers) what costs you tens of thousands of euros for every product (i.e. a rim) you want to test and the part gets destroyed for strength and durability tests. Most companys just dont sell to germany instead since we are not the biggest country anyways. so when the company doesnt want the parts (rims, spoilers etc etc etc.) to be tested were screwed...

if you drive a car with a part on it thats not been tested and inspected after installing youll get your car impounded.

ive seen many chinese parts without certifications for almost 1/4 of the price. that shows the costs to make such parts, compared to what they cost including the testing.

it is. sure its nice to have our cars inspected every 2 years and have only save cars on the road, but tbh rims for example volk´s dont make rims that break fast or something. just because the company dont want to pay for it we cant buy them. double edged sword.

in germany its hard in general to run a tuned car on the road. just paid 4k euros to get the power im running legal (emissions testing in a labor etc) and every cop can doubt that and impound my car, because there could be illegal parts on it. even tho its tested by engineers... then ill have to get it inspected by a police engineer who obviously will let me drive since ive got everything tested and registered.

and the cops are after tuned cars here since the scene is grwing fast in the last couple of years. they even made it illegal to group up with more than 3 tuned cars on public holidays...

So, I finally tucked my tail between my legs and headed back to the dealership.. Feel like a dumbass that I bought the stang in the first place..

I was literally stranded at Sams Club a few days ago with 150 bucks worth of groceries and no feasible way of fitting them into my stang. Had to call my wife to come trade out cars, felt like a douche turd.

Headed up to the dealership to check out a slightly used 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.. They want 35 for it, and I'll pay off the balance that is due on my car, about 5k after the trade in. So, I guess it didn't completely crush me, but sucks that it cost me 5k =(.

I'll post some pics when we trade her in.

RIP mustang, you didn't deserve this.
