Mom wants to buy a small car for running errands around town, we've limited the choices down to the following:

Toyota Yaris
Honda Fit
Nissan Versa

Which one do you prefer out of those 3?

hondas have great engines that will last forever, but those 3 cars are pretty much the same so it comes down to appearance preference really.

ok I was leaning towards the Honda myself, looks pretty good and won't have to worry about reliability :)

I rented a Yaris last fall and it handled like shit for what it was, so that might be something to consider.

I think the Honda would probably be your best choice personally.

Another vehicle to look into

The new Ford Focus, especially the ST.

I'm a BIG fan.

But yeah, you can't go wrong with a Honda either.

theres a ford dealership like an 1/8 mile down the road from me and i get to stare at their cars every time i go out. i think the focus isnt bad looking now compared to what it began as and i really like the new fusions. they are sharp cars.

Ford has just improved all around in the last decade, and especially the last half decade. I've been a Ford man from the start, but even Ford men have to admit the 90s was a dark time...
