I was asked what resources I use. I use no resources that all of you don’t know already. I mainly do these off of my own thoughts and opinions about team needs and players. But, I also use specific people on twitter, espn, walterfootball, etc, nothing special.

Rate, hate, etc etc etc, can't wait to hear what you have to say.

OK, I’m using the draft order provided by WalterFootball.com
( http://walterfootball.com/nfldraftorder2013.php )

I am not doing an analysis for every pick again until probably after the draft lol. If you want an explanation, please post and ask.

New stuff!!

Well, with the senior bowl behind us now, some players rose, some fell, some didn't move anywhere so if there's some drastic rise and drops, that's the better majority of the reason for it.

Liked it more when you had us getting Tyrann lol, wanted him to play safety.
If we can't keep Elerbee, I don't see any way we go until the 4th without drafting a LB.

I know. I just had players falling into place for you guys that I really liked and then realized it was the 4th and no LBs lol.

As for Tyrann, idk I can see New England snatching up him and Amerson. They proved they don't mind double dipping on one position (Jones/Hightower last year) so I think they could grab both Tyrann and Amerson and evaluate them as corners or safeties or combos or whatever they need. That with McCourty, Dennard and Talib is they keep him gives them a very solid secondary. McCourty and Tyrann at Safety and Dennard and Amerson at corner, I wouldn't want to pass against that.

It's very likely he's there, less likely the Giants take him imo but this is what I'd like to see happen so.... :)

Here's how I look at our needs going into this draft, ignoring possible FA's, re-signs, and trades: Ravens' biggest needs are LB & LT. Next would be NT, WR, S, CB, and TE. (that's the tl;dr)

I'm just gonna post what I think about the Ravens' situation going into next year here, since it's on the same topic. (It's more for the Ravens fans on here, but maybe you'll consider something here in a future mock... let me know what you guys think)

LB is obvious, since they'll be down to just Upshaw and Suggs flanking only Jameel McClain and some other random LB (Albert McClellan as it stands) if Elerbee leaves.

Bryant McKinnie was pretty unhappy with the way they avoided using him this season while he was under his largely incentive-based contract, so I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him leave for another team that will overpay based on his postseason success (I doubt he can motivate himself mentally and stay in shape this offseason to play the same during an entire season).
Oher is a RT, which I should hope is obvious to both Ozzy and the coaching staff by now, but getting a good LT in the draft would require trading up, and finding one in FA (Jake Long) would cost waaay more than they can afford. They'll probably be seeing Oher at LT next season if I had my guess...

Kemoeatu shouldn't be a starter, and the fact that Terrence Cody is his backup is a pretty telling sign that he just ain't that good. Though Cody might be better than Kemoeatu at getting to the QB, one of the reasons the Ravens were so bad at the run this year was because both of them were getting pushed around with ease by the other team's OL.

WR needs are going to depend on Boldin and Jacoby. If they can restructure Boldin's deal, then maybe they won't need to cut him, since he'll be due 7.5 mil next year. If they cut Boldin, then let's hope Tandon Doss, the receiver they drafted awhile back to take his place can step up. They've already been using Doss in 4 WR sets consistently this year, so who knows, but I'm pretty sure they drafted Doss for this reason.
Jacoby is in the same boat as Boldin, since I doubt the Ravens are going to pay him the 4 mil to play next year, although like Boldin, they could extend Jones' contract and reduce his strain on the cap. Ravens are more likely to extend Jones than Boldin imo.

With our cap problems, I highly doubt Reed will be with the Ravens next year... hopefully I'm just being pessimistic. Idk if Christian Thompson, our 4th round pick at safety from last year, will be anything more than a special teams contributor, but they were talking about him a little bit last year as if he was going to be Reed's replacement, saying he was getting some one on one with with Reed. He's fast and will have a year under his belt going into next year, so who knows.

Cary Williams will be gone next year. He stated before the season started that he didn't like the offer they gave him, thinks a lot of himself, and is probably already pricing himself out of our salary cap. I really hope he doesnt come back tbh, since he gives up so many completions from playing so far off coverage and seems to get a personal foul for getting too emotional every other game.
They of course still have Webb as the #1 CB going into next year, as well as Corey Graham, who plays better than Cary imo, and Jimmy Smith, who still has to prove he can stay healthy and learn a bit about not falling for fake-outs. I actually think it might be worth seeing if Jimmy can play safety if he continues to fail at CB.

Ed Dickson isn't that good at catching the ball (despite what you may have seen last Sunday). He could very well be back next year if he doesn't want too much. (I'd place a fun bet on him leaving to reunite with Chip Kelly in Philly lol). If he does leave, I also wouldn't be surprised to see Bajema, our blocking TE, get a contract for next year while whichever TE they draft this year develops. (maybe some Furstenburg as a UDFA for my MD buzzins lol).

Of course, Ozzy usually picks BPA, and trades down more than he trades up in the early rounds, so who knows what we'll get, but I'm sure we'll like it.

We have a number of ways we can go, while CB is a priority, I got a dirty feeling that either w'll get a PassRush beast, OR we will get the 3rd and final young MLB to round off our young and badass LB core.

Like hte picks but you think that Trufant is really going to bounce that high?? I watch the practices and game (senior bowl) and he looked really well and as advertised has some pretty decent genes with his brother and cousin in the nfl... Not sure he goes that high but never know will see what happens at the combine.

I forgot you didn't like Moore much. Ansah and Moore an be flipped easily without any argument here.

I agree with your order of needs list and I admit I kind of derped this draft some for the Ravens. I focused too much on the secondary, put too much of a need there. I kind of whipped this together quickly last night. Been a busy week but I'm going to compile my team needs lists this weekend if I have some time.

I know I know, but as I've said (and you probably know) these are just what I think would work well for teams, not exactly what I think they'll do.

I was looking for a LB to send to you guys somewhere but Trufant is too good to pass on in the first, especially when it's an area of need. The Buccs have said they'd like to target a TE early in the draft, the first would be a waste so second rounder on Ertz is a good pick with value. McDonald is the best pure FS in this draft imo and will be a great compliment to Barron and in this case, Trufant for an extremely young and talented secondary trio and then I just put more value in Geathers in the fourth than any LB available.

I've had a boner for Trufant and Leon McFadden for months and months now. McFadden hasn't lived up to my hopes yet but Trufant is shining bright. I'd be OK with a team taking Trufant over Milliner to be honest.
