SotW I Theme: Abstract
Chosen by: Swash - Winner of: Tag Battle #2




General Information:
    Everyone is able to take part at SotW.
    You do not need anyone's permission, nor do you need to state anywhere that you want to participate.
    To prevent bias voting and judging, SotW is anonymous. No usernames will be given to the judges or written in voting threads.

    If you have any questions or suggestions for future SotWs, pm me or post here.

Rules:
  • The maximum Signature sizes are the following:
    • Horizontal tag: Width: 600px, Height: 400px
    • Vertical tag: Width: 400px, Height: 600px
  • You may not use a premade signature.
  • You must not submit a ripped signature under any condition.
    If you are being suspected of a signature rip, you must send me the psd file.
    Otherwise you will be disqualified as well as banned from all future SotWs.
  • Posting, using or showing your SotW submission to anyone before the next SotW has started is not allowed.
  • Your signature must follow the weekly theme. However, you are allowed to interpret the theme in any way you want.
  • You are allowed to use typography as long as it does not include your username or anything in connection with you.
  • Only 1 entry is allowed. You are allowed to change your tag for a single time.
  • All SotW entries must be sent to me before Friday 12:00am/24:00 CET.
  • The signatures placed #1, #2 and #3 may not be sold or gifted at any time. They will be used as reward for the next SotW.
  • If you spam in any SotW related thread, you are at the risk of being disqualified as well as getting your vote rights revoked.
  • You are not allowed to discuss or cnc any SotW entries until the next SotW has started.

Threads:
  • SotW x - This thread will be used to announce the weekly theme as well as post the winners. You may also discuss anything related to the current SotW in there.
  • SotW x Voting - This thread will only be created if a public voting takes place.
    You may only post your vote (#number) in this thread. Everything else is considered spam.

Timeline:
  • Monday:
    • A SotW thread like this will be posted. It will announce the current weeks SotW theme.
  • Friday:
    • This is the last day of SotW. You must send me your entries until 12:00am/24:00 CET.
  • Saturday:
    • Your tags will be sent to the judges / A public voting will take place.
    • The judges must send me their decisions until 12:00am/24:00 CET.
    • If a voting took place, it will end at 12:00am/24:00 CET.
  • Sunday:
    • The 3 winners will be announced.
    • The first place winner must pm me their choice of the next SotW theme until 12:00am/24:00 CET, otherwise a 12 hour voting will take place instead.

Judges:
    There will be 3 Judges in total. They will be chosen by me.
    If you are interested in becoming a judge, you must pm me and get my approval.
    Judges are not allowed to take part in the SotW they are judging.

    To get my approval, you must fulfill some requirements:
    • You must be an active user of the graphic design sub forum.
    • You must be able to actually judge a signature.
    • You must be able to judge within your given time (refer to the timeline for more details).

    How the judging works:
    • First, I will send you a tagwall of all entries with #numbers next to every SotW signature.
    • Next, you must send me the #numbers of the best 3 tags and rank them from #1 to #3.
    • Once I have received the answers from every judge, I will post the final results.

    Point System:
    • #1 (3 Points)
    • #2 (2 Points)
    • #3 (1 Point)

Public Voting:
    A public voting will either take place if I was unable to get 3 judges or in case of a tie.
    Everyone, with the exception of myself, is allowed to vote.
    Participants of the SotW may not vote for their own tag, but for everyone else's.
    To vote, simply post your favorite tags #number in the voting thread. Any other kind of post is considered spam.

Prizes:
  • 1st Place: Golden SotW Icon*, the 1st placed tag of the previous SotW, the chance to choose the next SotW Theme*.
  • 2nd Place: Silver SotW Icon*, the 2nd placed tag of the previous SotW.
  • 3rd Place: Bronze SotW Icon*, the 3rd placed tag of the previous SotW.

    * The Icons will be added in the near future.
    * If no theme was chosen by the winner until sunday 12:00am/24:00 CET, a 12 hour public voting will take place.

are you taking entries all week? and can we make our entries public before the week has come to an end while still submitting it for sotw?

i think he wants them to be anonymous until after the sotw and pm before friday night 3pm PST our time im guessing

Sorry for the spam just making sure because I forgot to check time zone on the battle last week which is why I missed out.
12:00AM CET is 6:00PM EST correct? :unsure: (6hour difference)
