hit manage account and sign in its right there after you sign in

could be one of two things.

1. its stolen.

2. the cashier didnt active the card properly when they sold it to your father.

its happened to me before. i went back and basically told them they had sold me damaged merchandise, turns out the kid forgot to activate the card for use when he sold it to me. sony does this now as a way of preventing theft. i live in brampton so if it isnt any of those reasons** then idk.

But yes, I'd say it wasn't activated. The people working at the cash don't aren't the smartest.
