The rest of the context of this quote being "right now I can't imagine how (my staying in the KHL) can be arranged."
Which suggests to me he will be coming back even though he wants to finish the season with the team that he started it with. Personally I see his point, he (and some of the fans) must feel like he's leaving the team high and dry.
