Just finished watching, thoughts:

Beginning of the quimera ants arc was bad, too much focus on bad charactes like the pink koala, the rabbit who screamed all the time etc... Kaito was pretty cool tho. Once the royal guards, king, and other quimera ants were more involved the show got better again.

Was good to see Hisoka again for the last part working with Illumi, and of course anything involving the Zoldyck family is good for me.

Episode 131... idk what all the hype was about. Sure Gon's future capacity was surprising, but the fight itself was so 1 sided. Also, Gon was completely out of his mind imo. Why didnt he help the others while Pitou was busy curing Komugi?

Killing the king with a man-made bomb seemed cheap, but I guess it was the only option as they made him so incredibly powerful that not even Netero-san could keep up with him. Regardless, i liked his character very much. His developement was interesting.

Amazing anime in general, loved the characters, sound and story.

I've rewatched the original series like 3 times. So I'll probably do the same with this one lol

I think 2011 lacks rewatch value compared to original

the hype about 131 is mostly the fantastic artwork and music lol.. everything was just done better than expected translating the manga over to anime.
