Mallorca will be playing home against Levante tonight.

Levante has been storming through the league, and it's only a matter of time until they are officially promoted to Primera. They have a really solid squad that is far better than any other in Segunda, so we probably won't have a chance of getting points if they play at their best.

1-1, very solid performance from the team! It's a shame we couldn't win despite having enough chances, but the draw is pretty good considering we were facing the hardest opponent possible.

nice, i'd still consider it a good draw considering they are that strong and what your expectations before the match were.

Valencia has announced they are signing Mateu Alemany as their new Managing Director. This guy is a legend in Mallorca as he was given the Managing Director job when the club was a mess in Segunda and took it to the CL and a UCWC and Copa del Rey final in the late 90s. In the year 2000 Real Madrid tried to sign him but Mallorca's owners gave him a huge raise and made him club president in order to convince him to stay, and he delivered by signing several star players like Eto'o and Finidi, manager Luis Aragonés and eventually our best ever season in Primera and our first ever Copa del Rey. The club was never the same after he left in 2005, although he made a brief return in the 2009-10 season (just happened to be another great season and we finished one point away from 4th place), during a transition year when the club was being sold.

So, this could be an amazing signing for Valencia. If the owner Peter Lim injects some money again, and lets him make decisions instead of Mendes, then they might finally stop being a joke and fulfill the expectations they had when the new owner took over.

Leeds striker Chris Wood, Newcastle forward Dwight Gayle and Brighton winger Anthony Knockaert have been nominated for the EFL's Championship Player of the Year award.

2 former Leicester players. Notbad.jpeg :D

Happy to see both of them doing so well, hopefully when/if they come up again they can get more of a shot than they did with us. Interested to see if knockaert can make the step up now he's matured a bit.

Mallorca will be playing away against Alcorcón in a few minutes.

Both teams are in the relegation zone, so this is going to be a tense game. Alcorcón is struggling because they failed to replace the key players they sold last season, but they are still a threat due to their striker... the typical finisher that can be invisible for 90 minutes and suddenly popup to win the game.

We're playing with a pretty offensive 4-2-4, let's see how it works out.
