Okay last batch of photos until I get my fuel rail. Here's a real rough mock up. Mainly for a comparison shot from photo #2 of the thread and now.

Everything else needs to get cleaned up now.

That's the plan.

Motor is coming out once my clutch and flywheel are delivered.

Then repainting the engine compartment.

Just getting a head start on the work I can do with the motor currently in the car.


I may just start using this thread as my Datsun progess thread or something.

Yep, all is right in the world. Especially now, since I just got my fuel rail in the mail.

Here it is mounted, sans injectors.






And just in case you forgot what the manifold looked like to begin with. Here's the first setup again. Pretty substantial change overall.

Looks pretty nice. Any idea of how much weight you shaved off? I imagine it isnt even close to enough to really make a difference but it would be neat to see the difference.

I'll say that the amount of stuff in the dust pan on the floor of my garage was startling. I'd bet I took off about half a pound of aluminum waste.

Getting rid of all the junk on the top of my intake is so worth it.

And I'll go throw this on for a mock up for a real comparison shot, instead of the non shaved version in the above post.
