Anime, if you ever make it to the west coast book a charter trip for real salmon. There's nothing like fighting a 25lb king salmon. I prefer Silvers (Coho) over kings(Chinook) though.

I hooked into a silver the other day, was probably a good 12lbs or so, was getting the net and it spit the hook.

Great Lakes have kings and cohos too I believe, no need to travel to the west coast. You're lucky you live near a great salmon fishery though.

Do you guys have steelhead?

WA has, imo, the best fishing. We've got lakes, streams, rivers, and oceans.

My gf's grandpa has like 41.8 acres of forest with around 8 acres of river front. This year alone, I've caught 6 cutthroat, 4 steelhead, and 2 salmon, although the salmon were dark, they put up a decent fight, but I released them.

Cutthroats are cool, are they native to Washington?, those only are found in the western U.S. I believe. They can hybridize with rainbow trout making a "cutbow". They're kind of like the Brook trout of the west is what i've been told.

So, my gf has been working at one of the local sporting goods/house stores and she just told me she gets to go in sometime in December to go shopping. She gets to buy any item in the store at cost + 10%, including fishing gear. I'm going to be getting 2× GLOOMIS rods for the price of one. B)

It's like $259. I'm not sure if the store my gf works at has these but I'm certain it'll run about $150 - $175 + shipping, if they carry it.
