This is my first UL, usually run LM-MH. I caught like a 5-6" yesterday and it was a blast.

My buddy wants to do a lot of jetty fishing, sea bass/Ling cod, and now that I busted the handle on my ugly stick I have an excuse to get a new jetty pole!

I hooked a 5 lbs+ landlocked salmon (like 25" or so) once on a 7 ft ultra-light rod, felt like I had a fucking shark on lol. so much fun

The gf works tomorrow so Sunday looks like we'll be doing jetty fishing. Hoping to hook into that elusive Ling Cod but I'll take my limit of Rock/Sea Bass.

I've got to get a new pole here soon and then get another two more for salmon season. Can't believe my Ugly Stick broke.

wow, Ugly Stick's are like indestructible too lol

I don't buy them any more just because I can't stand slow action rods (like Ugly Sticks), Fast action is the way to go IMO, better hook sets

It's the top part of the handle, started casting yesterday and after a few I noticed the handle was cracked. Looking for a new pole today.

I don't think I've ever used a slow rod. Only been using fast action.

I've dropped like $85-$90 so far this year and I can make that back on one pole/reel combo.

Trying to talk a guy into selling me his GLoomis setup for $125 and not the $200 he wants.

Just got the go ahead to buy me a new reel.
Not looking to spend more than $100, prefer it to be spinning, so I'd like some options.

I've been looking at the Okuma Trios, 10 bearings w/12lb lw. Also been looking at Pflueger reels, wanting 9+/1 ball bearings reels, lmk your opinions guys.
