you would be surprised lol, and since all dueling strategy is opinionated... and i just get flamed for how i duel... i took it down

also, a 5k life druid would lose to a 9k life druid in a dvd every day, if you do the math for the game mechanics you could easilly figure that out

daw shyt

You still should write a strategy, if it works for you it could help some ppl.
Sry im not the kind of guy doing math etc for a video game lol, it depends of your gameplay, dvd isnt only about outanking. I did fun dvd against top druid in eu back in the time with 8dr vs 39dr and lost 5-4, you cant say you "must" win just because you got more life.

wow... then they nerfed the only character i play lol
was getting fun too... wrecking 5 ppl in a bg at once, i dont play much d2 anymore because i dont have my 70kfg druid >< and with a new computer (d2 is to old for it lol) and keyboard (keys placed differently is fucking with my hotkeys) i dont duel much anymore

but i know for a fact 100% if a 5k lifer druid steped infront of my welfare druid i have now... would be no problem

actually i can ;)

the way the game mechanics work... if you use 39dr vs a 8dr if you both have over 8k life then you still fall into the 1/8th bracket for fhr BUT if you have 8k+ life and 50 dr you fall into the 1/16th bracket (at this point its based on skill (or just who got hit less))

1/8 means every time dmg equal to or grater then 1/8 your life (without falling into the 1/4 bracket) you have a 75% chance to NEED to recover from the hit, meaning you are unphased 25% of the time (no need for fhr if you dont need to recover from it)
but if your in the 1/16th bracket then you have a 37.5% chance to need to recover from the hit
this means if you stomp me (in a dvd) and we both have 8k life but i have 50dr and you have 8dr, you will lose every time due to possiblilities

everytime i hit you there is a 25% chance you will cast a nado
everytime you hit me there is a 62.5% chance i will cast a nado

meaning you will go into fhr lock

there was few druids i had a problem with... and they were/are

bieson (my early dvd days i dueled him (havent dvd him in 2 years tho so prolly a dif outcome))
steve (once i had a gfg strat he said he would only duel me if i had taken lead of the dvd ladder for 6 months straight -.-(but i did 2v2 with him and when it came down to me vs him i would win))
and kenny, hes gfg but ive beat him :)

Who said i will always stomp ? I could just blind spot you hit and go away, also i could wsg out if u try to stomp me etc..

If it's only about stomping yes i would loose 100% of the time. Fortunately, its not only about that.

so your telling me you would lose 100% of the time if you stomped? what if you got the first 2 nados in? what if i stood there and let you hit me 2 times before i attacked back?
would it still be 100% in my favor? even using these mechanics there is whats called unpredictable game mechanics which i dont feel like getting into

if somehow we both had hurry on, you stomped me and you got the first 2 hits in... i would pull threw about 90% of the time with more then 1/2 life

lol i wouldnt walk blindly into a nado... thats because i dont tele often, and i would never stomp someone else unless i had them locked, thought they were going to stay there, cast cano, then i would stomp... maby

sometimes i just stand there staying mainly on a screen radius just evaiding nados. but the second i would get stomped its game over

im a pritty patient guy :P

and if you wsg out of it you lose dr from ss (if you were smart and used ss for dvd)

but idk, maby you are better then me at dvd... i never dueled some1 on eu, but i can say with certainty
ft5 gm 1v1... a 5k lifer druid vs a 9k lifer druid with 50dr.... there is no way in hell
