How to tell if your Diablo II account is Email-Registered or not
Step One:
Log on to the Diablo II account you wish to check
For our example, we will be checking the account Critical
Step Two:
Go in to any Diablo II channel (or game) on the account you are checking
Step Three:
Type into the channel (or game): /Mail <Account> <Message>
This will attempt to send a message in an email to the email address registered to the account (if one exists).
Example: If checking if the account Critical is registered you would type: /Mail Critical Testing
The message you put could be anything, I just type "Test" or "Testing" when checking account registration.
Step Four:
Battle.net will send you back a message immediately.
If the response message reads;
Mail could not be sent. ~ This means that your account has no email address attached to it.
Mail sent. ~ This means that your account has an email address attached to it.
Additional Information:
~ There is no way to check if an account is double-registered.
~ There is no way to find out which email address is linked to the account. This Guide only shows whether or not an account is email registered.
Note:
I have never seen a similar guide, and I get asked how to check this all the time, so I figured I should post a Guide.
If a guide to doing this has already been posted, please ignore this post and I apologize for the inconvenience.
