I hate the 9ers and Giants (and have no special love for the Warriors, for that matter), but those are specifically SF teams. The Warriors never were an Oakland team and aren't a SF team now, they're still Golden State, and they're still within driving distance.

I agree that the Warriors don't "belong" solely to Oakland as they represent the whole bay area. But what I meant with the 'losing the Warriors' quip was moreso about revenue for Oakland as a city

Article from 2015:

Quote
Economist Philip King adds that he projects Oakland will directly lose $44.9 million and 494 jobs due to the move. He adds that “most Warriors fans will continue attending games after the relocation rather than seeking local substitutes. The relocation of the Warriors, then, constitutes a significant redistribution of economic activity within the larger Bay Area.”

Opinions on Raiders trade with seahawks to land Lynch and Sherman. Think its in the making? Think its worth it? Good idea or bad? What do you think is worth giving uo for them?

Sherman comes off as sort of a punk bitch. Not sure I'd want to acquire him.

Giving up anything substantial for Lynch is a mistake. He's been out of football for a season and nobody knows if he'll come back anywhere near where he left off.

I'd rather build through the draft. I'd consider Lynch for a late round pick. I'm sure that any deal involving Sherman will be an overpay.

We build this great team through good drafting and all of a sudden we've decided to go back to throwing money and picks at veterans again? That strategy got us a decade of failure.

We just have to get better at judging DB/CB talent coming out of the draft. I'm feeling right now 1st DB/2nd ILB/3rd RB then best player on the board from then on out.

Our biggest needs (IMO) are ILB, CB, and DT, although Mario Edwards Jr.'s return should help to shore up the DL. I don't see RB as a huge concern because we did pretty well last season by committee, especially when you consider the fact that Carr couldn't take snaps under center.

We've drafted well these past few seasons, so I trust in the decisions Del Rio makes in the war room. Whatever he goes with I'll support.
