so, ive been kinda bored lately and thinking of getting beck to this game for some fun

i have allways liked barbs, and allways liked PvM

so i'm thinking of combining the 2 and making myself a nice MFbarb

dont like the idea of letting my merc hafe all the fun though, so i wanna go for weapons that dmg

i'll most likely go for frenzy as my way of dealing dmg

my first idea was grief pb + LW pb as weapons.

yes, i know eveyone hates LW, but the might aura, life tap, and awesome MF boosts kinda make it attractive to me

but kinda not sure on what would be good to use..

so.. iso advice and stuff

I MF barb and really enjoy it.. my setup:

highest MF stealskull you can get
maras (for resist, but could use an mf ammy)
LW/EBOTD (either zerker axes, or lw Phase + EBOTD CB) - dual ali baba's on switch (2x lem them for sweet gold find when popping travincal corpses)
high MF chance gloves
high MF war travs
upp'd goldwrap belt (or tals belt i suppose)
2x nagels with high mf (or fil in here with rings for resists, etc)
enigma if you can, if resists are hurting in hell - go coh (but with last wish, the % for fade takes care of resists after a few easy battles) - cheap option here wuld be wealth runeword

how come you take BotD over grief?
imo grief has better stats..

plus.. i kinda like the looks of having 2 nice phase blades in hand (A)

No hate. Last wish has simply low damage (~150, vs ~400 for grief not counting 20%DS). And no ias bonus.
Might aura is useless since you should have it from merc (at same or higher level).
Notice that damage to demon (grief) has same effect on demons than level 17 might (~170% off-weapon ed vs 200).
Fade is... ok, but do you really need it to hit max res ? In the end, it provides only 11%dr.
And a frenzy barb should use an offensive curse in my opinion (like Reaper's merc). Not a defensive one like life tap.
Regular leech from decent %leech (String, ring) and higher damage is enough to stick with max hp.

So all LW is about is CB. In this case, take a look at Death : with appropriate setup, you hit ~100%CB with better other mods (damage : raw and DS, mana leech, glacial spike).

And don't be upset by mf boost on last wish, it is not noticable...

currently i have a PvM barb that mf bots 24/7, by far my favorite mf char. he needs no inv either which is really nice, i have him set to pick up almost everything he can and he doestn ahve to town every 10 seconds.

currently he runs shako, metalgrid, BK, fcr str/dex ring, magefists, arach, war travs, enigma, Last wish Phase blade + Grief Phase blade. (pb's cuz they never break <3)

he runs andy/meph/diablo/baal (i love me them tokens) and so far he's leveled from 80 - 95 with only 4 chickens... mercenary runs andys/fort/insight

/e max WW, Max bo, 1 pt in shout, 1 pt in battle cry, max sword mastery, max nat resistance, rest into berserk. (should have 1 pt in berserk before you max natural resistance though so you can hit physical immunes)
