You don't understand the situation. Eli was not going to sign a contract and re-enter the draft next year. SD had the choice of getting nothing for Eli as he sat out a year, or getting something for Eli in a trade. They made the only choice that didn't waste their first rd pick.

Once he gets in the playoffs you never know what will happen. When the Colts won a superbowl Peyton actually deserved the MVP trophy.

He doesnt choke atleast he puts the points on the board its not like he throws for 100 yds 2ints and no tds his team is no where near complimentary to him. Guaranteed Peyton is a first ballot hall of fame, Eli is not. I'd take being shrined in the hall of fame for life for personal succes than one xrta superbowl that a lesser qb got. Trent Dilfer was better than Michal Vick, Dan Marino, Romo, Rivers, and several others with that logic. Atleast Peyton got his ring which his hard enough.
