My pc is around 4-7 years old. This is it after upgrades/possible upgrades, planning on running d3 on max settings if possible.


Motherboard: gigabyte ga-m575sli-s4 - Original
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 - 3.2 GHz Quad-Core - Upgrade - bought
Graphics card: GeForce GTX 275 896MB - Possible upgrade - Mainly, will this max out settings on d3?
RAM: 2 GB - Needing upgraded, MB can only run ddr2
PSU: 480w


From what I can see, i'll need a much better PSU since the potential graphics card has a minimum requirement of 550 W. This is for the card alone, and the other components will need xxx W too?

Needing more RAM, right now i'm using 1 GB and 2x 500mb. Probably drop the 2x 500's and buy 3-5 GB more?

So yeah, I don't want a crazy PC, just one that'll be fine for now. I'm buying through £bay (uk) so recommending specific items would be difficult.

how much are you wiling to spend? yeah youll need a new psu

I was thinking maybe around £70 max for a graphics card, Ram im not sure 20-30? and PSU are usually around 20 max, this is all used btw, and bidding on *** will net it as cheap as possible. Do you know if the graphics card will run d3 on max?

you shouldn't ever cheap out on your psu, just saying.

A GTX 275 will run D3 on high.

And does anyone know what PSU wattage would be needed/best?

there's some unit branded to provide 500w that explode after giving 200w.


a good 550w major brand unit should work.
