I'm currently leveling a wizard and I was wondering if there is any real efficiency for LoH.

Any builds that boast actual LoH benefits for a wizard?

Call me noob, but I would love some suggestions...

Just about every LOH coefficient is fucking atrocious for Wizards because they're such an AOE-based class and Blizzard knows it. I tested Blizzard with 200 LOH once... got a return of 9. It's just worthless.

Stick with LPS until you get godly crit damage then you can move toward life leech.

i dun understand y everyone thinks LL only works when u got high crit dmg. just cause u leech for a huge chunk everytime u crit doesnt mean ur avg LL isnt the same as ur dps.

500 , 500 , 500 , 2000 , 2000 , 500 , 2000 , 2000
1250 , 1250 , 1250 , 1250 , 1250 , 1250 , 1250 , 1250
same exact thing. dps is wat u need for LL, spikes from crits does not make a diff

Hmmm life leech. At which point do you think its worth it? Im at 66k dps atm, might be able to hit 75ish. Yet at 3% or whatever the highest is, and with that 80% inferno reduction... makes like 0.6%leech doesnt it? :s

PS. 200k means 1200life back hmm.. guess Ill have to give it a shot, somehow I dont fancy the thought of paying much for a decent dps high int socketed weapon with life leech on it :s

im not sure bout now but 3% LL used to have needed 118k dps to compare to 600 LOH for barbs, idk bout wizards tho

I run ~ 1400 LoH on my Wiz and it's great for kiting.

Cast blizzard a few times, freeze them, then hit them with Arcane orb and Magic Missle.

Orb gives ~25% LoH per monster hit and Magic Missle is 100%LoH

It's all about how you use the skills and AoE dgm.

The suggestion of waiting on LL till you get high crit dmg revolves around the fact that you need X output to make Y lifeleeched surpass Z loh. To make Y>=Z you need much more damage, 2k int will not get you there alone and +IAS(though it is a "dps" modifier) actually helps loh more. So that leaves crit chance and crit damage to increase your damage per hit. Once X is high enough, on average, it will force Y>Z.

the above is true when ur talking about barbs and monks. this is a wiz thread getting LL > LoH doesnt require all that much

I think you may be saying this because of wiz aoe coefficients for loh. Barb and Monk have the same issue with aoe coefficients. Maybe look into using skills that have higher coefficients for more effective loh? This raises the breakpoint at which LL>loh for wiz. Someone suggested Magic Missle is 1:1, I believe. Haven't tested it myself though.
