well he didn't obstruct the goalie's line of vision or interfere with a defender - so feel free to explain why his offside position was relevant in your opinion.

and nice dodge on your hypocrisy concerning what's a foul and what isn't... guess that depends on which team plays, huh?

He made a play for the ball. So he's active. Even if he doesn't touch it, or interfere with play.

Just the way it is.

auba moves towards the ball and prepares for a shot, so he is offside
period

feel free to watch it again at 2:00

the touch on lewa was SIGNIFICANTLY less than kane vs. sahin, you're so biased it's unbelievable. feel free to rewatch the scenes again. so much for your "international level" narrative. lewa went down spectacularly as usual (at least this time he didn't injure himself) but that you're even trying to defend it is hilarious...

you do realise that you just posted the source to dismantle your own "argument" that is just plain wrong?

"Making a gesture or movement which, in the opinion of the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent"
the goalkeeper might believe auba takes the shot and react
and if you look closely at the video then you see that auba is distracting the gk

end of the discussion

p.s: i never claimed that lewa didnt go down easily, he learned something from robben it seems and could have continued, however you can see the shirt tugging in the slow motion
which is not the case for sahin, typical bundesliga flopping where 9/10 refs fall for it

to me it doesn't look like auba is deceiving any opponent and the linesman flags him offside because he thinks he touches the ball.

also, calling the kane sahin scene an outright "flop" just shows how dishonest you are. as i stated before, if you look at this scene isolated, play on would be a justifiable decision imo - but not in the context of the game and his other decisions. also, claiming it was less than the lewa contact is still outright ridiculous - how biased do you have to be to watch both scenes and claim lewa's was a foul and this was a flop? unbelievable...

amazing first half. philipp really impressed me so far. not only his clinical finishing today but especially his assist - being on a hattrick and refusing to take the shot in a 1 on 1 with the goalie to set up aubameyang (who was somewhat unlucky so far, hitting the woodwork twice) for a rather easy tap in - that is quality stuff...
