I mostly went in their direction because of their history. Seems to me they stick to the Word better than any other sect. Although they aren't as progressive it seems compared to say the Jehovah's witnesses, but I suppose the religion is ancient enough that you should stick to the ancient culture of it more than adapt to society.

@Dune I'd agree. It's just been sooooooo very long since I attended church.. I'm actually a lil afraid I'd get emotional over being there... just been such an arduous journey getting here ya know.

Fundamentally-wise. Both tend to stick more to the Bible, as opposed to progressive thinking, and making up rules to adapt to modern society... and often times not adhering to the Bible. In this respect the two sects are alike. Though the Jehovah's witnesses tend to make up a few things in a progressive sense, but not as much as any of the other mainstream sects. Tho they are in stark contrast to a purer form of worship to Russian orthodox.
