This article basically discusses how eating more muscle than neccesary, promotes the body to create excess enzymes to oxidize protein rather than use it for muscle building. It caught my attention, because this was something that my biochemistry professor mentioned once as well, but this is the first time I saw an article about it.

The science seems strong, considering how just about every mechanism of the body is established to maintain homeostasis. The part about protein spiking is interesting as well.

Thoughts?

it says no more than 30%-35% of your daily calories..

Who the fuck is eating more than that lol... In my 3500 calorie diet, that would mean I eat 306.25 grams of protein a day and any more than that it would be a waste. I feel like that is pretty common knowledge

everyone in the comments just crys and crys because they dont like what they hear, suddenly they want references and shit but i doubt the person who told them to eat 10000000 grams of protein gave them a source

people so fucking stubborn they only take one viewpoint and dont even consider others

This is pretty much how everything in the world of nutrition/supplementation is right now, you can find data proving both sides for tons of cotroversial broscience myths and shit and people tend to follow the ones they want to believe
