Upon reading this thread, it appears to me that many people own socketed unique trophies - for instance here we have a Wall of the Eyeless with a Perfect Diamond: https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=63449888&f=57&o=310

I know the example is a five year old post to this thread, but could you explain to me how this can happen in Classic? Every resource I can find, explains that only rares can be socketed using the SoJ-Horadric recipe.
There are examples of this on many of the pages in this thread. Have I misunderstood the scope of that thread. Is it classic+LoD? But if it was LoD too, then we would see runes and exceptional-elite uniques as well...

We all play expansion characters, but only use gear that would be equal to classic drop... but sometimes noobs use the socketing they think its allowet ... lol

Okay, so all/most of the trophies here are on expansion characters, but elite rares and elite/exceptional uniques and sets are left out?

And all the socketed uniques I see in this thread were socketed with the Lazruk quest?

He trolled you mate, these items are all in classic chars, but with some hacks many ppls could join act5 either to xp faster or to sox unique items. But the items/chars remain in classic. If u wanna learn more about this just Google "d2 classic a5 exploit"

what you talking about troll??? then you also can get runes in classic and more resistances from other quests... Wow Mate stop trollding

It doesn't seem to me like any of you trolled me. The act5 exploit seems like the right explanation - and if it's just the areas and quests you get access to and not the new loot tables, it would make sense that you would never get any runes or D2X-only items in general.
