I found a fix for this but it only lasted 10 minutes..

you need to set your DMZ host to the IP you play on(on your network) EXample 192.blah blah blah

If setting yourself as DMZ host (and verifying ports are forwarded) doesn't work after saving settings...restarting router...then trying the game
