The first one - I love the colors! Second one is neat as well. I think you could make the horizon straight though, keep working at it, you have the right idea!

I went to the same spot today for a go at a nice sunset, forgot my tripod though so I had to try handholding it :/ oops. Possibly got to the spot a bit too late as well.



ALSO... I tried shooting the city from a fairly nice vantage point the other day, but I reaaally struggled to get anything good.
There were so many lights to deal with! and my tripod is a bit crappy.
Apart from getting a better tripod, can anyone give me any tips for making a shot like this.. well... better?
also might be a silly question... but is it normal for those two really bright lights in the middle to left of the below image to kinda star like that?
