$16/hour is more than any of my friends in college are making. At least where I live that would be considered above average.

I have no idea how the US compares to other places, but from my experience if you have a full time job and don't have to support a family, you can find a place to live and a car to drive on nearly any wage

Is this a union job? sounds a lot like it. Anyways, assuming you're a younger lad / only yourself to support -- it is very good.

I think it depends on 3 things:

- Personal health in the long run (working in a factory vs in a clean place)
- Social advantage (good/bad retirement program, insurance, vacation, sickness day, working on the week/week end, etc)
- Salary increase (getting 7% increase a year vs only getting inflation increase)

So it can be bad or good, with no context, who knows ^^

It's better than nothing

Well, as i am a kid still, i get 6 € / Hour, but i live in finland.
For me, its nice, but in reality, it's like the job wich pays the minium.

think about it like this.
minimum wage is like 8.50
you're gettin paid way more than that.
