You shouldn't transfer your operating system, you'd have to do research on how to transfer the rest.

If you transfer your operating system it slows it down so you should do a fresh install of windows on your new SSD.

I know Bestbuy does a data transfer if you can't figure it out.

Make sure to format the drive and update its firmware with it connected as a secondary drive. I'd recommend installing your OS and apps on the SSD, the setup the current HDD as a data drive.

Just connect your new SSD drive to the sata port of your old drive then connect the old drive to the second sata port after it, when you've installed your OS on the new SSD drive you will see your old hard drive accessible in explorer and just copy over what you need and then use it as a storage drive.

(If after you've connected it its still booting into your old drive go into bios and make sure your SSD is the one in the first boot list)
